FLOWERS OF BANGLADESH
Everybody loves flowers. A flower is a thing of beauty. A
thing of beauty is a joy for ever. Bangladesh is a land of flower. Many kinds
of flowers bloom all the year round. Ther are different kinds of flowers. They
differ in size, shape, colour and smell. The rose is best of all flower. It is
called the queen of flower. People it for its sweet scent and beauty.
Krisnachura, Palash, Shimul and champa are the best known fine spring flower.
The Sheoli is the queen of autumn. It is small in size. It is white in colour
and looks charming. Marigold is the flower of winter. It is yellow and golden
in colour and looks beautiful. Some bloom at night. The Rajanigandha, the
Gandharaj, the Bakul, the Jui bloom at night. They spread sweet scent at night.
Some flowers blooms in water. The Lotus and the Lilygrow in watery places.
Shapla is our national flower. Grows every watery places in plenty. It is white
with pink. Kalmi also grows in watery places.

About Bangladesh
Bangladesh
is asmall low lying country in the south asia on the bay of bengl . It came
into being in 1971 following a bloody battle . It’s total area is 1 ,47 ,570
square kilometres. The bay of bengal is to the south of the country. The other
three sides are surrounded by India except for a small strip in the southeast
by Myanmar. Most of its land are plain with some hilly area in the northeast
and southeast of the country. The country criss-crossed by so many rivers and
canals. The Padma, the meghna and the Jamuna are the main big rivers of the
country. The country has a tropical monsoon clinet. The country has six
seasons. They are summer, rainy, autumn, late autumn, winter and spring. The
population of Bangladesh is abou 160 million. Majority of them are Muslim and
the rest are hindus, Buddists and Cristains. Over 98 per cent of the people
speak Bengali. . After all, the people of Bangladesh are very much peace
loving.
Fruits of Bangladesh
Bangladesh
is the darling child of nature. Many kinds of fruits grow in different season
all over the country. Fruits are of different kinds, colours, sizes and taste. Mango is the
king of fruits in Bangladesh. There are many kinds of mangoes. Jack fruit is
the biggest fruit. It is our national fruit.
Banana is another populer fruit. The
orange is juicy and tasteful fruit. The palm ia also a well-known good
fruit. The papaw is also a good fruit. There are many other fruits in
Bangladesh. The pine apple is a good fruit of rainy season. The lichi is another
small and sweet fruit. It grows everywhere in Bangladesh but plenty in Dinajpur.
Among other fruits black berries, dates, melon, guava, wood-apple and plums are
very well known In Bangladesh .

Bangladesh is a sweet home of birds. Birds of different kinds and
species abound in this land. They abide in woods, in hills, in marshy plces and
even in our homesteas. They are of various colours, sizes and habits. Some
birds live on fruits and grain, some on worms and insects, some on fish and
flesh, while some birds feed on dirty
and rotten things. Bangladesh resounds with the songs of birds. Among the
singing birds, the cuckoo, the doel, the koel, the bou kotha kou and the
nightingle are remarkable. The doel is our national bird.There are also
different kinds of tailor birds in Bangladesh. Tailor birds are those that
weave their nests themselves with surprising skill and dexterity.The babui is
one of them.
